You can recognize the pattern, pray about it, journal about it, and still wake up to the same calendar and the same yeses you never meant to give. That is the gap we close today: discovery is powerful, but structure is what turns truth into a different life.
We are in the “build” phase of the personal rebrand method, and I walk through Matthew 7:24-25, the wise builder who not only hears God’s Word but puts it into practice. We talk about what it means to stop confusing learning with transformation, and how personal growth can quietly become another way to avoid action. If you have been asking God for clarity, yet waiting for one more sign, this conversation will help you take a faithful next step without rushing or moving recklessly.
Then we get practical with faith based tools that actually hold your new mindset in place: healthy boundaries without guilt, “no” as a complete sentence, and how to let others feel disappointed without abandoning what God is teaching you. We also cover clear communication before difficult conversations, sustainable habits that you can repeat, and the role your environment plays in confidence, peace, and comparison. Finally, I challenge you to choose one area that needs structure and lay one brick this week, one conversation, one calendar block, one application, one decision.
If you want to go deeper, I also share ways to connect through our community and discipleship support. Subscribe, share with a friend, and leave a review so more women can build a life that matches what God is revealing.
Amiga, you can know exactly what needs to change and still keep producing the same results. You can recognize the pattern, understand why you've been responding a certain way, pray about it, journal about it, talk about it, highlight the scripture, and have one of those moments where you say, Okay, God, I see it now. But then Monday comes, the calendar still looks the same, everybody still has access to you, and you're still trying, you're still saying yes when you really want to say no, and you're still responding to the situations in the same way. And that's because discovery is only part of transformation. Discovery helps you recognize what needs to change, but structure helps you actually live differently. We have talked about shedding what no longer belongs and renewing our minds by returning to truth. Now we have to ask ourselves a very practical question. What does this truth look like in my everyday life? And that is where where build begins. Okay, amiga, let's talk. There comes a moment when growth calls you higher and you're trying to figure it out all by yourself. You're evolving, you're questioning, you're rebuilding. And maybe you're wondering, what's good? Girl, I'm so glad you're here. Welcome to Extreme Rebrand, a Mommy on the Mission podcast. A space for women ready to heal, rebuild, and walk confidently in their God-given purpose. If you're ready for your next level, then I'm your girl. I'm Mariana, founder of Mommy on a Mission and creator of the Empower Her program. And I'm ready to meet you right where you are. So pour your Cafecito and sit with me for a while. This is your cafecito hour.
Hey amigas, welcome back to Extreme Rebrand, the Mommy on a Mission podcast. I'm Mariana, your personal rebrand strategist, certified biblical life coach, and your amiga for the next few minutes. So grab your cafecito, grab your lunch, and maybe you're driving, folding laundry, sitting at your desk, or trying to get a few quiet minutes before somebody else calls your name again. Wherever you are, welcome to your midweek reset. So over the last few episodes, we've been walking through the personal rebrand method. We started with shed because sometimes before God can show us what's next, we have to become willing to release what no longer belongs in the season that He's leading us into, right? And then we move into Renew, where we talk about returning to truth, not the opinions of everybody around us, not the labels we collected along the way, and not the story fear has been telling us, but what God says. Eventually, though, we have to do something with what God is showing us. And there comes a point where prayer has to influence the calendar, revelation has to influence our decisions, a new understanding of our value has to influence our boundaries, and a restored voice has to influence the conversations we're willing to have. Otherwise, we can know better with we can know better without ever learning how to live differently. And build is where the internal work begins becoming visible. And
so today I want to open it up with Matthew 7, 24-25. It gives us this beautiful picture of the wise builder. Jesus describes the person who hears his words and puts them into practice as someone who builds a house on a rock, right? And I want you to pay attention to that because the difference was not simply hearing, the difference was what the person did with what they heard. And so sometimes we confuse knowing something with living. We know we need boundaries, we know we need rest. We know we need to speak up. We know we have been praying for another opportunity. And sometimes we even know God has been asking us to release something. And build asks us to go one step further and ask, what am I actually putting into practice? So let me open it up to Matthew 7, 24, 25. Let's see, Matthew 24. Sorry, I thought I had it open for y'all already. But here we go. Matthew 20, I mean seven. Oh, let's look at me. I'm going all the way to 24. Okay. Here we go. It says, Everyone then who hears these words of mine and does them will be like a wise man who built his house on the rock. And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and beat on that house, but it did not fall because it had been founded on the rock. So there you go. It's like I said, you know, it's giving us this beautiful picture of the wise builder, right? And and and that he not only hears God's word, but he's putting it into practice. And so if you believe your time is valuable, where can I see that in your calendar? If you believe your body needs rest, where is rest being protected? If you believe God has given you a voice, where are you practicing using it? And if you believe he is preparing you for another opportunity, what are you doing to prepare for the opportunity you keep praying about? Information can give us language, but transformation begins changing the way we live. And so again, it's not about just hearing God's word, but it's about putting it into practice. And there's
a point in personal development where learning can start feeling like progress. And listen, I love learning. I am a person who will dive deep into a personal development certification, a program or what have you. And give me the book, give me the journal, give me the podcast, give me the notebook with all of the little tabs, and I will highlight something until half the page is yellow. And there is nothing wrong with learning, but we have to be careful because we can spend so much time learning about ourselves that learning becomes another way of avoiding action. Ooh. See, because you can understand exactly why you avoid difficult conversations and still refuse to have one. You can recognize that you have allowed people unlimited access to your time and still answer every call. You can say, God is calling me into something different professionally, but never even update your resume. Research the opportunity, take the class, make the phone call, or submit the application, but you have to take action. And sometimes we're asking God to open doors while standing 20 feet away from the hallway. I've had to learn this on my own, right? I had to learn this in my own life. Because there have been moments when I prayed for clarity and God gave me clarity, but then I realized I was still waiting for another sign because taking the next step meant I actually had to change something. Have you ever done that? Like, have you ever said, Lord, just confirm it one more time. Meanwhile, God has already answered, and now what he is doing is he is waiting on is our response, right? It's it's almost like that. I don't know if you've ever heard about the man that was that was out of the boat or he was in a boat in the middle of the ocean, and he's like, Lord, please send someone to save me. And he sends them a raft and he doesn't take it. And then he says, Lord, save me, and then he sends them, you know, something else. And then he's like, Lord, you know, and the man ends up drowning, and he's like, Lord, how come you didn't save me? And he says, Well, what else did you want me to do? I gave you the raft, I gave you, you know, the lifesaver. You never held on to it, you never did anything with it. And isn't that like us that God is giving us all of these things, but yet we're not taking any action, right? Now, here's the thing: He's not He's not telling us to rush or move recklessly, but it means that once God has given us something, has given us wisdom and direction, we begin taking faithful steps towards what He has already shown us. Revelation becomes transformation when it changes our response. One
of the first things build may require is a boundary. And boundaries have become one of those words everybody uses now, right? But a healthy boundary is not punishment, it's not revenge or a way to control somebody else. A boundary simply identifies what you are responsible for, what you have capacity for, and what you are no longer willing to participate in. And sometimes a boundary sounds incredibly simple. I'm not available that day. I need more notice. I cannot take that responsibility on right now. Or I would like to continue this conversation when we can both speak respectfully. Or maybe it just simply sounds like no. And for some of us, that two-letter word feels like an entire dissertation needs to follow it, right? Like no is a complete sentence. We say no, then immediately start explaining, softening, negotiating, and trying to make sure nobody is upset with us. But what we have to remember is that sometimes no is just enough. And one of the harder parts about boundaries is learning to let other people have feelings about them. When you've spent years being dependable, accommodating, available, helpful, and strong for everybody else, people may be surprised when your availability changes. And some people may not like it. Someone being disappointed, however, does not automatically mean you did something wrong, but yet we feel that way. Sometimes build means learning to tolerate somebody else's disappointment without abandoning what God has been teaching you. So
in your next season, you know, your next season may also require you to communicate differently. Maybe you've spent years hinting instead of asking. Maybe you assume people should know what you need instead of telling them. Maybe you overexplain because you are trying to make sure nobody misunderstands you. Or perhaps you have masters saying it's fine when it is very clearly not fine. Healthy communication does not mean we always say everything perfectly. Because trust me, sometimes you're going to think of the perfect response and three hours later while washing dishes, and that happens. But healthy communication doesn't mean becoming more honest. And before a difficult conversation, we should pause and ask ourselves, what actually happened? Or how did it affect me? Or what needs to be communicated? What am I actually asking for? And those questions can keep us from allowing six months of frustration to speak during a five-minute conversation. And they help us communicate from clarity instead of reaction.
Build also includes habits. But please don't hear habits and suddenly decide tomorrow morning you're waking up at four o'clock drinking a green smoothie, running five miles, reading three chapters of your Bible, journaling 17 pages, meal prepping for the month, reorganizing your closet, and launching a business before breakfast. And if that works for you, God bless you. But that is not happening over here. But a supportive habit does not have to be impressive, it just has to be repeatable. And maybe your habit is having a weekly planning appointment with yourself. Maybe it's taking a prayer walk or turning your phone off at a certain time because you realize that everybody does not need 24-hour access to you, or preparing the night before for an important meeting, looking at your finances every Friday, or giving yourself one uninterrupted hour each week to work on the dream you keep saying you didn't have time for. The goal is not intensity, the goal is sustainability. Consistency will take you farther than a burst of motivation you can't maintain.
Our environment is shaping us constantly, right? Whether we realize it or not. And that includes our physical surroundings, our relationships, what we watch and what we listen to, what we scroll through and the conversations we participate in every single day. And you can't keep asking yourself to become more confident while constantly consuming things that make you compare yourself to everybody else. And you can't keep praying for peace while participating in conversations that leave you anxious every time you hang up the phone. And you also can't ask God for direction and then give a 10 different and then give 10 different people equal voting right over what he told you. Have you ever done that? Like God is giving you direction, and then you go and talk to 10 different people or you know, a few other people, and you're like, you know, I felt this. What do you think? Everybody does not need access to your decisions. Pay attention to the voices you repeatedly allow into your life. Which conversations leave you encouraged, and which ones consistently pull you toward fear, gossip, comparison, or confusion. Does your physical space make it easier for you to do what matters? Does your calendar reflect what you keep saying is important? Sometimes build is incredibly practical. Move the Bible or journal somewhere you'll actually see it. Delete the app that is stealing two hours of your day or create a workspace. Join a healthier community. Ask somebody to hold you accountable. Prepare the environment before motivation arrives. These may seem like small decisions, but small structures can make faithful choices easier to repeat.
And build also includes how you show up. And I'm not talking about becoming the loudest woman in the room. Because presence is not performance. Presence is being able to walk into a room without abandoning yourself. It is being prepared, speaking clearly, listening without shrinking, and knowing that you don't have to become somebody else in order to belong in a space God opened for you. Because for some women, confidence feels uncomfortable. Because somewhere along the way, we were taught that confidence and arrogance were the same thing. And they're not. Arrogance says, I'm better than everybody here. Whereas confidence says, I don't have to make myself smaller to make everybody else comfortable. Because sometimes your next season is going to require visibility, and that can feel vulnerable because hiding feels safer. And as long as the dream stays in your journal, nobody can reject it, right? As long as you never submit the application, nobody can tell you no. As long as you never share the idea, nobody can criticize it. And as long as you keep preparing forever, you never have to find out whether what you built will work. But your gifts were not given to you, so you could hide them forever. There is a point where visibility becomes stewardship. And build requires courage because actions create possibility. Courage is not waiting until fear disappears. Because if we waited until we were not afraid again, some of us would never move. Trust. I've seen it happen. Even with through myself. Courage is being afraid and still asking God, what is my next faithful step? Not my next 20 steps, not my entire five-year plan, but simply my next step. It reminds me of the scripture where it says that God is a light to our feet, right? He's guiding us one step at a time. And maybe your next brick is one boundary, one conversation, one application, one hour on your calendar, one phone call or one decision. You don't have to rebuild your entire life this week. You just have to stop ignoring the brick God has already placed in your hand. So
this week, I want you to choose one area of your life that needs structure, not five. Because we love trying to change 17 things at once and then wonder why we quit by Thursday, right? So just pick one area and ask yourself three questions What am I trying to create? What behavior would support that? What structure would make that behavior easier to repeat? Maybe you're praying for professional growth. So the goal may be preparing yourself for another opportunity. The behavior might be developing a new skill, and the structure could be blocking, right? Tuesday, I'm sorry, and the structure could be blocking Tuesday evening on your calendar for a course or certification. Or maybe you want healthier relationships. And so therefore the behavior is communicating your needs earlier instead of allowing frustration to build. The structure might be preparing yourself before difficult conversations so you can communicate clearly instead of waiting until everything comes pouring out at once. Or maybe what you need most in this season is peace. So that behavior might be protecting recovery time, and the structure might be removing one unnecessary commitment from your calendar. And that is what I want you to understand. Truth eventually becomes visible through structure. And so as you move through this week, sit with these questions. What am I expecting change without creating? Where am I expecting change without creating support for the change? What boundary, habit, conversation, or structure would make the greatest difference in my life right now? And what is one brick I can lay before this weekends? Then do something with the answer. Put it on your calendar, write the email, make the phone call, have the conversation, or tell somebody if accountability would help you follow through. But don't wait until you feel 100% confident because sometimes confidence comes after you have kept the commitment you made for yourself. You're learning how to trust the woman God is developing. Let's pray. Father,
thank you for every woman listening today and for every truth you have already begun revealing to her. Give her wisdom to recognize what needs to change, encourage to put what you are teaching her into practice. Show her what needs to be built in this season, but also remind her that she does not have to change everything overnight. Help her establish healthy boundaries without guilt. Give her wisdom in her conversations and teach her to communicate with both truth and grace. Help her create rhythms and habits that support the life you are calling her to live. Reveal environments, relationships, habits, and voices that may be influencing her more than she realizes, and give her discernment about what deserves access to her heart, her time, and her decisions. Teach her to build from peace instead of panic, obedience instead of comparison, and wisdom instead of pressure. When fear tells her to hide, remind her that the gifts you placed inside of her were given to be stewarded. Help her take the next faithful step, not every step, just the one, and help her trust you with what comes after that. In Jesus' name. Amen.
And Amiga, before you move on with the rest of your day, I want you to remember that you don't need to build an entirely new life this week. Just create one boundary, start one habit, have one conversation or take one step that supports the woman God has been showing you that you are becoming. We're not doing all of this reflection just to understand ourselves better. We're allowing God to transform the way we actually live. And so next week we move into the final phase of the personal rebrand method, live, integrating the transformation. We are going to talk about what happens after the breakthrough moment, after the journal entry, after the excitement wears off and real life continues. How do you keep living what God has shown you? How do you make decisions differently? And how do you recognize what the old patterns try to creep back in? And that is where we're going to go next.
And if this episode spoke to you, subscribe to the podcast and share it with an amiga who has been doing a whole lot of thinking, praying, and preparing and knows it's finally time to take a step. And
also, I just wanted to share that we are going to be starting a new discipleship cohort. This is a three-part series. So part one is Empower Her. And it's a 12-week discipleship. It's absolutely free. Discipleship does not cost you a thing. And this is so that we can dive deeper into who God is, you know, telling us about who we are, right? We're we're wanting to build that bigger relationship with the Lord. And so we're going to be rolling out the disciple her program. So if that is something that you are interested in and would like to dive deeper into your identity, learn about your spiritual gifts, and really focus on healing and moving forward and building your relationship with the Lord. I will put the links in the show notes. And then also we have our Facebook community. We have Bible study every Sunday from 6:30 to 7:30 Central Standard Time. So we'd love to have you come join us. And again, all the links will be in the show notes. So until next time, remember, you're becoming the woman God already sees. This isn't about fixing you, it's about aligning you. Amiga, you're not behind. You're not late. You're becoming the woman God already sees. I'll
